1. Can you explain about your Billing Process?

We access your PF account and retrieve your superbill from the built in superbill feature. Or, you can transmit your superbill from your PF inbox to us, and we will start the billing process. For Kareo users, we create a Kareo bill from the chart notes available in your EHR.

2. How do you Bill me ?

MedicalBillingStar charges a fixed percentage of the net amount we collect from your insurers. Payments made at the desk, copays and deductibles are not included. We do not charge according to the billing volume like most companies but charge only a percentage of what we collect, regardless of the volume assigned to us.

3.Do I have to share my login access with you ?

No you don't ! You can assign a separate login access to us. The username and password are shared only by the account manager dedicated to your practice's billing account and a four member billing team who work exclusively for you. Our PF clients assign the NP/PA edit level access to us.

4. What two factor authentication you follow ?

The advantage of working with MedicalBillingStar is that we do not download anything from your Kareo account. No data leaves your system thereby increasing data security and reducing data leakage hassles. We follow the same Two Factor Authentication (TFA) that Kareo uses for security.

5. Can you help me Integrate Kareo into my PF Account ?

No we don't, instead we do it for you ! Yes, MBS offers free PMS integration services. We can integrate Kareo with your Practice Fusion EHR at no cost at all. Save yourself the costs, headaches and time involved in data integration.

6. Do I have access to my EOB's at all times ?

Yes you do. You stay in control of the engine room as we work within your Kareo account. Your EOB's are stored in Kareo and not on our servers. This helps our clients to effortlessly view their EOB's and keep tabs on their billing cycle.

7. Will my Patient Bills and HCFA's have my postal address on them?

Yes.  We generate patient bills and HCFA's and transmit them from your Kareo account. The sender's information will contain your postal address and contact details.

8. Do you maintain an Archive ? How do I access it?

For better understanding and smooth workflow it is important that you are clued in to your billing process. We provide a fax number that is integrated into your Kareo account. The EOB's and encounter sheets you send us will be loaded and stored in your Kareo account. You can review them anytime, easily.

9. Can you give me a breakdown of how often you send out?

We transmit thoroughly scrubbed claims inside of just 24 hours ! HCFA's are sent out once in every two days. We send out patient statements within 7 days of your patients visit. We mail them collection letters within a month. Our executives make reminder calls within 45 days of sending out the statements. We make a maximum of three calls within 15 day intervals.

10. Do you print and mail my bills and HCFA's?

It is our responsibility to print and mail your bills. We also manually mail or fax your HCFA 1500 forms to your insurers. We also mail out your patient statements. You don't have to pay the postage charges. We do not charge you a cent more than the percentage of collections mutually agreed upon.
